Primrose of Five Forks encourages a love of learning

At Primrose School of Five Forks, the direction is clear. “Children come into the world ready to learn. Our job is to enhance this natural process and encourage the development of a lifelong love of learning.” says Kristin McCabe, marketing director “We make sure children are prepared academically, socially, emotionally and physically.”

Established in 1994 in Lawrenceville and owned by Steve and Cami Nail, the Primrose School of Five Forks is dedicated to excellence. With an array of awards and honors to show for their hard work and dedication to the development of children, the school strives to be a grade above.

Primrose schools were the first to receive national accreditation from CITA-SACS CASI, which also accredits public and private schools, as well as universities, explain the owners. The school offers a balance of academic education as well as supplemental enrichment programs in basic Spanish, art, technology and music. The school also focuses on physical, social and emotional development to truly give each child a “readiness” for elementary school. In 2000, the Primrose School of Five Forks received its accreditation, making it the tenth Primrose school in the nation to do so.

Primrose of Five Forks mission statement is to “give the best to each child every day.” Their statement has resounded even more with parents of young children as recent studies show that a good early childhood education promotes a more well-rounded development. Studies report that at the end of the year, Primrose children that go on to attend elementary school show 1.3 times more growth than their peers in concept mastery.

“Nationally-recognized assessment tools and our own research with Primrose parents have shown that Primrose pre-k and kindergarten students are typically advanced in their social skills and concept knowledge, and therefore, more ready for school than many of their peers,” says McCabe.

The Five Forks school is unique among other Primrose locations in that it is a Primrose Franchise Peak Performance School, which is based on the Primrose franchise’s annual internal accreditation. They have scored over 95 percent on each accreditation since 1994 and have scored 100 percent for the past five years. Primrose of Five Forks is also a training site for new Primrose franchise owners.  Because of their high level of excellence, Primrose of Five Forks has been honored with pre-launching new programs. This coming 2011-2012 school semester, they will introduce their new music curriculum, The Music Class.
